Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard is expected to miss Wednesday night's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves with hamstring soreness, ESPN's Marc J. Spears reported. However, Lillard still plans to compete in the NBA All-Star Game and three-point competition at Chase Center this weekend.
The Bucks will be without both Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo on Wednesday night against the 30-24 Timberwolves in their final game before the All-Star break. Antetokounmpo is out for "weeks" with a calf strain and will miss the All-Star Game.
As for All-Star Weekend, Lillard still seems to want to give it a shot despite his hamstring soreness. He currently has the best odds, according to FanDuel, to win the three-point challenge over NBA stars like Buddy Hield and Tyler Herro. This will be Lillard's ninth All-Star appearance in his career and second with the Bucks.
It's still possible, of course, for the Bucks and Lillard to decide to skip the All-Star festivities if his injury calls for more rest.
