Few players have impressed as much as Chris Brady has over the last few years, with the goalkeeper becoming Chicago Fire’s regular starter despite being 20 years old. With preseason in full flow, Brady and his Fire teammates Jeff Gal and Patrick Los were spotted goofing off in a video.
Posted on the club’s social media, the trio pay tribute to the iconic Dikembe Mutombo commercial in which the former NBA center and rim protector is seen "blocking" people’s attempt at various odd jobs during every day life. In the Fire version, Brady is "in the zone" and blocks Gal and Los’ attempts to throw a water bottle, slapping away the bottle several times in the process.

Brady has been tipped for great things, with some clamoring to see the Fire goalkeeper replace Craig Gordon as Scotland’s number 1. Brady is eligible to play for Scotland despite representing the United States at the U23 and U20 levels. However, he is yet to make his senior debut for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and could have a big decision to make about his future at the international level.
WHAT NEXT FOR BRADY AND CHICAGO FIRE?
Chicago Fire are in the midst of their preseason schedule, having played four games. The club have three more games on their preseason calendar before their MLS opener against Columbus Crew on Feb. 22.
